Estonian poetry in Warsaw underground

Starting from 6th of September until 30th of September, 2010 poetry project “Poems on the Underground” takes place in Warsaw underground. The aim of “Poems on the Underground” is to introduce contemporary European poetry in public city spaces.

This year also Estonian poets take part:

Jüri Talvet,
Triin Soomets  and
Andrus Kasemaa.

Official launch of the project will be held on 6 September, 2010 at 6 p.m. at Swietokrzyska underground station. Icelandic poet Bragi Ólafsson will perform.

Besides poetry in city spaces there will be different activities taking place in Warsaw during “Poems on the Underground” like poetical graffiti, haiku writing competition etc. Additional information is found on the project’s webpage.
